Ms. Lorena Kopacz started Sunshine Scholars, Inc. in March of 2023. The school was a diamond in the ruff, as it has been a daycare for over 30 years, but needed to be upgraded.  Within a year she  increased the staff, upgraded the facility, and invested into quality materials for the students. Sunshine Scholars, Inc. had a student capacity of 54 which was recently increased to 61.

We have staff members that have been a part of the previous daycare and that have been there for over 20 years. With our award winning cook, our students get fantastic home made meals everyday. Our team concentrates on the goal of getting our children ready for kindergarten. Our activities as well as curriculum focuses on this, but at the same time we play hard and the local community is an asset to this location.

Our family events and participation is building a strong sense of community.

Toddler Room @ Sunshine Scholars

Our son has been going to Sunshine Scholars since Oct 2023, starting in the infant room at 13 months and transitioning to the toddler room at 15 months. We have been very happy with this daycare after looking around for months for the right fit. We immediately liked the owner and her passion for creating happy and healthy spaces for children to learn and grow. The teachers and assistants in the infant and toddler rooms have been amazing - so kind, patient, caring, professional, and loving to my son. The owner and manager were very willing to help us with a specific request/need for our son, which in turn, eased our worries as new parents. I would highly recommend Sunshine Scholar for quality childcare services.
